2011 cable news TV
The year 2011 is now heading out the door , we take a look back at what the cable news media was like this year.
Over Coverage of Casey Anthony Not, saying that we think the media shouldn't have covered it in heavy excess. HLN (Formally Headline news until 2008) , a CNN sister network, had extensive trail coverage during the trail and coverage of the trail itself. It was LIVE brodacasting on weekends , when they never do it on a normal weekend , no matter what breaking news happens. Some could say it was do to the slow news time of summer , but there is a way the cable news channels could have covered it.
Lean Left and Lean Right Cable news is slowly loosing the news part of the term. MSNBC (owned by NBC NEWS) suffered a small blow to it's line up when Keith Olbermann left , but since 2008 the channel was adding more and more liberal opinion , they say is a counter to a Conservative FOXNEWS Channel . Though unlike FOX NEWS Channel , MSNBC has more opinion programming , as of December 2011 on weekdays they have a total of 6 hours of news with out opinion , though 2 of those hours are more devoted to politics FOX NEWS Channel's primetime stayed at number one, and MSNBC faulting but still taking second. This hurt CNN who trying to stay out of the left /right show thing.
2012 elections are sure to bring more of this out , and opinion shows aren't leaving because people are watching them. Some network executives have said that people aren't turning to cable news for news anymore, they already know the news.

CBS TV
By Skyler M for mychiller media and TV
CBS NEWS has been in the process of change with it's morning show hours . "The Early show" , which started November 1st 1999 , has been in 3rd place from the stop. Behind NBC's "Today Show" and ABC'S "Good Morning America". This year the "Early Show" changed to anchors Erica Hill and Chris Wragge. In the summer the show changed formats removing the cooking, the celerity news and other so-called fluff. Last month, CBS announced the "The Early Show", CBS's 8th try at a morning show and one of the longest running" will end in January. For a new morning show, which got it's name today "CBS This Morning" hosted by Erica Hill , who is the lone-carry over, PBS' Charlie Rose who will also still do his talk show, and Gayle King , who left her Oprah Network and radio show around the announcement.
