Fox News Goes wide Screen

Fox news channel today is now letting it's SD viewers experience what HD Viewers see. The look does look odd on many SD'tv  they also made their lower 3rds have larger font size. They want to their viewers not miss things that would get cut off.  Fox news channel is trying this out in a way that the other cable news channels haven't this is a test pilot if it will work or not.

Big Day in Nickeloden History

The Viacom children targeted networks got new looks and rebrands. Nickeloden got a new logo first time since 1984.  The other networks also launched with new  names  Nick's the-n relaunched as teenick the nicktoons network was renamed Nicktoons. Noggin was renamed  nick Jr. This is part of Viacom's shift to put it's children's division under one name Nick.

My Network TV 2009 season my thoughts.

My network TV is this year trying to be a syndication model with syndication repeats of Law and Order , The Unit. Plus the Syndication version of parent network Fox's Are you smarter than a fifth grader?. This is just a little odd for a network to do. But NBC,the CW, and Mynetworktv are trying to save them selves. CW is giving up Sundays Mynetwork Gave up Saturdays and Original programming that was in 2007. NBC gave up 10/9 to air 5 nights of Leno instead of a Drama. This is not the best idea for a network to go into syndication. Affiates can do that themselves that makes it where there's no point in Syndication. Plus like the 5 day a week fifth graders and Deal or no deal is 1 night and may not be on same channel for the real Syndication. But My network TV needs to think of a new plan ,one that works, pick up new shows make new shows If Fox can get this to work they should let My network Share some FOX shows too.

Networks and daytime

With the End of Guiding light on CBS last Friday this is saying that network tv's Soaps are now dying when they used be considered treasures. Soaps have been losing grounds for the past 3 years on the 17 of September 2007 the NBC network ended it's soap Passions to end add another hour of the Today show. NBC has one soap now "The Days of our lives" And daytime network programming more to the local stations like FOX and Mynetwork TV stations and CW Stations. CBS also decided not to replace Guiding light with a soap but a second game show. Which CBS is the only network still airing a game show in daytime "The Price is right".  But CBS did decide to keep that slot under net control not local Stations but Daytime may have a small time left to survive under network TV control.

Good Bye Guiding Light

Why Guding Light the longest running TV show and soap Opera ended it's run Friday after 72years. The show aired on CBS. But Cbs is not replacing it with another soap which does this mean that Soaps are going down hill in the future? But the show had downing ratings which meant the end. But after many actors came and left the long runnig show ended. Good bye Guiding light.

Jayleno has first show

The show that Nbc is banking on to save them JayLeno premiered more like the old tonight show he did. The current tonight show isn't doing well since Conan took over. The ratings for Leno did double 10pm averages for NBC. You can watch the first episode on mychiller site .

Jayleno goes Primetime

Well it's offically happening Ley Leno has gone primetime weeknights at 10/9c on NBC. This is considered a Gamble by NBC because of doing a 5 day week program. But the show is cheaper than A drama at that time. though NBC did lose an hour of Primetime . Tomorrow on Joshuaonline We will give you ratings and more info then.

From GMA to WN

Charles Gibson who took over as anchor of ABC world news tonight then renamed ABC world news replacing Bob Wodruff and Elizabeth Vargas in 2006. Gibson move from GMA to Worldnews he is now retiring. Diane Sawyer of ABC's Good Morning America will take over she will be the second time a female has been announced to be solo Anchor on a Nightly newcast not counting weekends. She will compete against Katie Couric which still brings a question Katie hasn't been doing well at CBS News in Ratings. But We'll see how this goes. Sawyer will take over at Worldnews in January 2010.
