The CW Releases Mid-Season 2025 premiere dates

The CW  Midseason Winter  


            
          The CW has announced its mid-season plans.  Of note,  All American returns along with  season 2 of  Wild Cards.   The midseason also has a new series Good Cop/ Bad Cop. 

             The network's unscripted programming of Police 24/7 , Crime Nation,  Penn & Teller : Fool US  and Masters of Illusion  are also set to return.   NASCAR's Xfinity Series also starts on February 15.

Fox Releases Mid-Season 2025 Premiere Dates

FOX  Winter Mid-Season 



        
                 FOX has announced its midseason line up. It starts on January 2 with a new Thursday night comedy block.  After the 8pm hour of  Gordon Ramsay series  Hell's Kitchen, is the third season of Animal Control, and the new series Going Dutch.  

            Another Gordan Ramsay series Next Level Chef will replace Hell's Kitchen on February 13. 

            The series debut of the new medical drama Doc is January 7 at 9pm; it's being lead in by another Gordan Ramsay series: Kitchen Nightmares: Road to Superbowl LIX.   


            Season 3 of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test premieres on January 8 airing at 8pm ET.   

             FOX has swapped out the post-Super Bowl airing of Recuse: Hi-Surf  for a new episode of The Floor.  9-1-1 Lone Star and Rescue: Hi-Surf return on January 20 at 8 and 9pm, respectively.   9-1-1 : Lone Star's series finale will air on Monday, February 3 at 9pm.

             Fox mainstays of  The Masked Singer  and The Floor return on February 12.

Midseason 2025 TV: CBS

CBS  Midseason  Winter TV  




            CBS has set its winter premiere dates for the winter part of the 2024-25 TV primetime season.  There's a mixture of new and old with returning shows and a new series.   

            The new Drew Barrymore produced and Nate Burleson hosted version of "The Hollywood Squares" game show premieres on Thursday, January 9 at 8/7c.  The show will move later to Wednesday nights at 10/9c starting January 29 as part of CBS' game night.  

         New medical mystery series, Watson, will be getting an AFC Championship Game boost premiere on Sunday, January 26, 2026 at 10pm ET/ 9ct/8mt/ 7pm, before it's regular time period of Sunday nights at 9pm starting February 16.  The series will air between Tracker  and The Equalizer , which finishes the night at a new time.

            NCIS: Sydney returns for season two on Friday, January 31 at 8pm and S.W.A.T moves to 10pm. 

            The rest of 'CBS Game Night' starts on  Wednesday, January 8 with The Price is Right at Night at a new time of 8pm, followed by season 2 premiere of Raid the Cage at 9pm. 

            
            The majority of CBS winter schedule is on task as normal.  Mondays continue the comedies of The Neighborhood and  Poppa's House and the "NCIS" series of NCIS and NCIS: Origins ; Monday Nights starting January 27.   FBI's three series are back on Tuesday, January 28.     

             The Thursday line up returns January 30, with Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage at 8pm, Ghosts at 8:30pm, Matlock at 9pm, and Elsbeth at 10pm. 

                Survivor returns for season 48 on Wednesday, February 26 at 8pm with a two hour-long episode, followed by 90 minutes through the rest of the season. The new 37th season of The Amazing Race premieres on Wednesday, March 5 at 9:30pm with 90-minute episodes.

Midseason 2025 TV: ABC

Winter  ABC   Midseason 


                ABC's 2025 midseason premiere dates have been set.   An interesting thing is that ABC's line up gets a boost from sibling streaming service, Hulu.  Only Murders in the Budling will be airing on Thursdays in January.  Unscripted series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini  will also have some broadcasts. 

            ABC aired the first season of   Only Murders in the Budling last season due the strikes, this time they will be airing season 2.   Meanwhile, new programming slate is light but there.   After only airing only one comedy in the fall season, they will be airing a new series with Tim Allen and Kat Dennings called Shifting Gears. That's it for the new series on the scripted side. 

            Will Trent and The Rookie return to the line up airing before after this season's new series  High Potential on Tuesdays.  The Bachelor is back in January 27, airing Mondays at 8pm ET with The Secret Life of Mormon Wives at 10. 

            A new version of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition premieres on January 2 and lead into blocks of "Only Murders" for four weeks. When that ends, they will fill the line up with  Scamanda  and Perfect Wife to fill Thursdays. 911, Doctor Odyssey, and Grey's Anatomy return on March 6.  American Idol and The $100,000 Pyramid debut their seasons on Sunday, March 9. 

        The Conners final season is planned for March, but no date has been set as of yet.

CBS Releases 2024-25 Season Line Up

      After a struck season where things ended up being pushed to February, CBS and the other networks are hoping for a more normal time.  CBS has taken the move of announcing their entire 2024-25 schedule, not just fall.  

       "The Big Bang Theory" universe? continues with "Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage" a  spinoff of "Young Sheldon"  will be taking the former's slot on Thursdays at 8PM ET.  "Ghosts" will continue in its 8:30pm ET slot.    

       "Tracker" which has proven to be a break out hit for the network, will be moving to an earlier slot on Sundays at 8pmet, following the high rated "60 Minutes" (and Football) .   "The Equalizer" moves down to 9pmet, and new series "Watson" at 10pm ET. 

        Tuesdays will still be "FBI" nights.  Wednesday will be reality and competition night. "Survivor" is on the line up in the fall and spring.  "The Amazing Race" returns in spring, "The Price is Right at Night", "Raid the Cage" and a new "Hollywood Squares" in winter.   A new series "The Summit" will follow the fall "Survivor" 

        "Matlock" which was pushed from the 2023-24 season, premieres in the fall leading with "Elsbeth" following on Thursday nights.   

      CBS recently uncanceled "S.W.A.T" will get a new season on Fridays in the fall, "Blue Bloods" which CBS decided to break that show's final season into to parts will finish up in the fall.  In spring,  "S.W.A.T" takes "Blue Bloods"  and "NCIS: Sydney" will lead the nights. 

        Mondays has "Poppa's House", another series that was pushed to the new season, following "The Neighborhood" rounding out CBS' 4 comedies.  "NCIS" continues followed by "NCIS: Origins"
