Scooby Doo 50: Scappy-Mania

Scooby Doo 50

In the late 70's audiences may have been tired of "Scooby Doo" , the original series came out in 1969 and  the company that made the show decided the best thing to do with success was .... make shows like it and more Scooby Doo.   With the ratings needing a boost they did what  many shows have done, add a new character.

There are people who criticize a show with a formula because it has a formula, that's slightly unfair, having a formula isn't a bad thing it's the execution of the formula and the story around it that makes it work. Scooby , of course, had one and it worked for the show , but after a while it did grow a little boring and idea starved.

So in 1979,  Hanna and Barbera being the  geniuses they were introduced a new Scooby series, that being "Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo"

The intro of the series tells you everything you need to know about how this series was going to be  in full. Remember Freddy, Velma, and Daphne? Well, are of no use so, they are background characters , Shaggy still has some use but this series is all about Scrappy and Scooby.  Now, to be fair the most popular character of Scooby-Doo would be Scooby, then maybe Shaggy as they seemed to be the only characters with at least some personalities to them.  Could the writing people have done a better job at making them characters ? Yes, but this is 1979 and networks don't care.

The format had stayed there with them going somewhere and ending up finding a mystery , it's a guy in a mask, but now we have Scrappy to be the more rambunctious ready to go and fight. character. If the goal was to save the series, well it did, it worked.

"Scooby" wasn't high brow cartoon, it wasn't what Disney makes for TV today like "Gravity Falls"or Cartoon Network does with "Gumball" it's not about cleaver writing , deep lore, or whatever it's a fun little series that had a premise and got far with it.  This series lasted the standard +3  with 16 episodes.

At the time, Scrappy proved be a great character for the show, and gave it something that the audience at the time wanted.  Diverting but using an analogy, do you remember that segment from one of "The Simpsons" halloween episodes where there's a  monkey paw that grants wishes and they make a joke about the over saturation of "The Simpsons", especially Bart? That's what happened here it's like if the people at Nick decided the best part of "Spongebob" was Gary and made him the main focus of the show and got rid of everyone else but Spongebob and Gary.

In 1980 season, that's what they did : Fred, Velma, and Daphne would be kicked the curb. The was a new format focused more on comedy and put into shorter bites inside of one episode stories.  They had 3 seven-minutes shorts instead.

This was featured part of another thing Hanna and Barbera liked doing at the time: package shows in this case the "The Richie Rich and Scooby Doo Show"  Where they aired the 3 Scooby shorts intertwined with three Richie Rich shorts.  So now it was Shaggy with the Mystery Machine , then Scooby and Scrappy with him. This would be the first Scooby series where they had more real life spooks instead of person in costume, again cutting down on the time with more on running scenes and goofiness.

The shorts lasted up to 99 shorts. In 1983, they let Scooby Doo be a stand alone series again and brought back Daphne. This series was "The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show".   They also brought back the classic mystery solving with the guise of Shaggy and Daphne being reporters for a teen magazine.  They didn't go back to one story per episdode, the went with two eleven minute stories.  In season 2, we found out that  Fred and Velma weren't killed off by the revenge of one of the people they exposed because they show up as "guest stars" in a few episodes.

Scooby Doo 50: Scooby Doo and Guess Who?: First Look

Scooby Doo 50

Back in the post about "The New Scooby Doo Movies" I mentioned that they are going to be bringing back this format idea in a new series called "Scooby Doo and Guess Who?" at some point in 2019.  Well, that series has come out and being released  (as of late June 2019) a weekly series on the Warner Brothers owned Boomerang app.  The first episode came out June 27, 2019 and this post is more to talk about that first episode to give what we think about it.

This is Scooby Doo and Guess Who? With the episode, "Revenge of the Swamp Monster".

I must say the theme song is a nice call back the original theme with the title cards matching "The New Scooby-Doo Movies", the only complaint is that it's short.  (Longer Theme Songs 2020)   The animation design fits off their more original designs as well it's nicely done to fit that aesthetic. Though this series takes place in our modern times.

This episode starts with two guys golfing , when one of the guys worries about a swamp monster hears a crow and runs away then the other golfer is taken away by the swamp monster.  Later, Shaggy gets  a call and some rich guy takes them away in his helicopter.  They also point inward jokes at  themselves on the things Scooby is known for , the guy in the costume and the famous "I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids and their dog (variant)".

Since the format of the series is to have a guest star in each episode this one has basketball player Chris Paul who wants Shaggy to help caddie him for a charity golf thing. Ok pay attention, he is doing the golf thing to save an art school so he can teach kids bowling. (Yes?)  Apparently, it's built on a swamp land. Is that teacher the monster? Is that teacher the monster?   Anyway, I'm going mention that the other golfers are introduced with the strangest intros ever.

They've gone for comedy in this series and I'm glad they have.  They also have the classic Scooby Doo chases as well it's like a love letter to the original formula. (I'm glad they did) We explain how Chris Paul saved Shaggy's life, guess how he did that?

This was a fun episode and I liked how it followed the hallmarks for what we expect in Scooby Doo.  I think it might be fun series, so check it out on the Boomerang streaming service/app.  Might talk more about this series in the future.

Tune in next time, when we have a guest star show up!

Scooby Doo 50: Scooby Doo on Zombie Island

Scooby Doo 50

While by 1998 "Scooby Doo " wasn't in a TV series since the end of "A Pup Named Scooby Doo" ended in 1991 and the television specials and movies kind of dried up there was a new channel to go through: the direct to video market. Though, because of Scooby Doo's rerun popularity on Cartoon Network they did end up airing the DTV movies.  The first of the direct to video and certainly not the last was "Scooby Doo on Zombie Island".

This movie was marked as a darker and "the monsters are real"  though it is not the first time "Scooby Doo" has has real monsters and ghosts.  This isn't even the first Scooby Doo media I've talked about where at least Scooby and Shaggy have met real ghosts and monsters   I will this movie is less comedic than past ones though.

Since Don Messick, the voice of Scooby Doo, died  before this movie wasmade they had  Scott Innes do the dog's voice, meanwhile, Casey Kasem didn't come back as Shaggy because he wanted Shaggy to be a vegetarian but they said no or something and Billy West took the voice role.  The only voice actor to return from the original series was Frank Welker.

The movie begins with the gang running around a spooky house from a monster because that's how Scooby works.  Also did you want to hear "Scooby Doo Where are you?" pefromed by Third Eye Blind? Well Merry Christmas!  (That's a semi charmed life there)    Meanwhile, the monster is a man in a suit.  It was actually Daphne talking about a case talking a 90's talk show.  Daphne is now the host of a syndicated show called "Coast to Coast with Daphne Blake" because the talk show host told us she is.  Daphne says that the job got boring and the gang broke up. She and Fred work together though on her show. (Calm down you!)
I'm more confused if that microphone works or not/ Copyright Warner Bros.

Daphne wants to find real ghosts now for her show and Fred gets an idea to bring the band back together.  I know this movie is like 76 minutes long but woah slow down. Shaggy and Scooby work as airport customs (how the heck they get this job? That's right it's before 9/11) Velma works as a  mystery book store owner. (A store with one genre of books)  Shaggy and Scooby get fired for eating contraband.   (How'd they get this job again?)
Whoever hired them for this job should also be fired/ Copyright Warner Bros.

Scooby and Shaggy apparently have lost a few jobs. (Can't imagine why)  Plot convenient timing too!  Fred surprises Daphne with Shaggy,Scooby, and Velma. Oh it's  Daphne's birthday too because of course it is her birthday. (ding)   They are going to New Orleans.   After  a montage of them looking for real ghosts and monsters they keep running into fakes because New Orleans is apparently filled with fake ghosts?
In New Orleans the food cooks you / Copyright Warner Bros.

Since this movie is 76 minutes long, we need to get to that zombie Island but how? How?! Oh hey.  There's  a woman named Lena Dupree who tells them about MoonScar Island she invites them to check out the Island.   Lena works for a woman named  Simone Lenoir, there's also a gardener named Beau Neville , and a fisherman named  Snakebite Scruggs. Simone tells them that her house is haunted.
It's haunted by my cold hands hahhahah/ Copyright Warner Bros.

Shaggy and Scooby end up meeting a ghost that tells them to "Get Out" (standard ghost talk).  Then when the rest of the gang see the word Beware appear.  Velma starts to levitate. Anyway they end up seeing the ghost of Morgan Moonscar in film footage.  Fred still wants to think that is fake like normal.  Simone tells them that there was a treasure from the pirate on the island that's not been found.
He seems nice / Copyright Warner Bros.

Shaggy and Scooby meet the ghost in person this time he's more zombie ish now.  Simone says they can stay the night. (They couldn't leave the Island this early in the movie anyway) Later, Shaggy and Scooby see the a ghost of a Confederate solider who also tells them to get out.  Also, there's a Freddy ascot joke.    A lot of this movie is Shaggy and Scooby eating very hot peppers and Scooby chasing cats.

I feel that they are making the gardener seem more suspicious to the point where it is pretty much the movie telling us that he's not part of anything strange.  He does save Velma from dying in quick sand.  Also Fred and Daphne should just kiss already I mean really.   Also they meet  a zombie and it's real one.
Since the Zombie is dead, you really shouldn't try so hard to pull of his head/ Copyright Warner Bros.

More supernatural stuff happens and there are more zombies. They got SkyCycle to perform music for this movie too which Wikipedia says they are best known for doing music in , uh this movie.   Also, Scooby and Shaggy find voo doo dolls that they use to end up causing their friends to float and hit each other. Anyway , more zombies. Lena and Simone are nowhere to be seen.  Daphne finds the Munster house staircase with Fred fallen in with Lena (oh my). There was a secret passage way in the way and zombies dragged Simone way.  Velma is skeptical because yes.

And rightfully so, because Simone and Lena are evil! (What a twist!) Simone and Lena are also cat creature things , that explains why she didn't like dogs. Meanwhile, they want to use the gang minus Shaggy and Scooby, for their continued immorality.  Flashback time, Lena and Simone were settlers on the island with their cat god.  When the pirates came ashore  a do what pirates do and killed off all the settlers that weren't Simone and Lena.   They ended up being cat creatures and killed the pirates.
MEEEOWWWW/ Copyright Warner Bros.

The zombies were actually there to help them and telling them to get out from the danger. Velma eventually gets a couple of the voo doo dolls and frees herself, Beau, Daphne, and Freddy and end up using two for Lena and Simone.  This stops those two from doing their plans and causing the cat curse to finish thus, disintegrating them.  The zombies can rest at peace now.  Beau was a detective the whole time. Fred and Daphne seem to have each other again and Velma has a crush on Beau.   They leave the island the end.

This  movie is great. I've watched it before but haven't in a long time it still quite fun to watch. I like the tone it takes where it is much more serious but not lacking any comedy at all. While it seems the Scooby chasing cats was too much it does fit with hints of why Simone was annoyed by a dog's presence. I also like how the zombie were there trying to help because of Lena and Simone's killing them for their immortality.  It really is a dark movie , where the villains were using supernatural abilities and killing off people that is something you normally don't see in Scooby Doo.   This is really good movie and it deserves to be checked out.

That does it for us now, tune in next time when we wonder why people where customs to get stuff to work.

Scooby Doo 50: Scooby Goes Hollywood

Scooby Doo 50

I really never heard of this Scooby Doo movie, it just kind up popped up in my research looking for another piece of Scooby Doo media for our Scooby Doo 50th anniversary posts.  So this time we look at 1979 TV film that aired on ABC called "Scooby Goes Hollywood"  This is the first Scooby Doo movie special at least with them by themselves.

It starts with a crow cawing on a grave because of course and Shaggy and Scooby running around some spooky place because of course.  Now there's a giant crab creature chasing them (Get the butter) but that was all a movie scene.  Apparently, the Mystery inc. gang are working on a movie called  "The Crabby Creature of Creepy Crag."   Shaggy is tired of the this boring routine and he sings (what am I watching?).

Coming soon to Fox/ Copyright Warner Brothers

Shaggy drives to OTV (our favorite television network) to talk to the network president and everyone knows Scooby apparently apparently everyone likes his show. (Wait what?) They talk to C.J the network president to get Scooby a better job.  They show him a film they made called "How Scooby Won the West" (he beat the Dodgers?) it shows Scooby as a sheriff. (I'd watch)  C.J is not impressed and kicks them out.(This is 1979 , should have gone to NBC, they were picking up anything)

Coming soon to CBS/ Copyright Warner Bros.

Scooby Doo announces that he leaving the show to the Mystery Inc. gang  they plead that he shouldn't stop because he wants to be a star , but he already is they tell him. Shaggy says Scooby wants to be a serious star. (yep)  So now they are making a film called  Lavonne and Scooby starting a woman named Lavonne and of course, Scooby. (I wonder what this was referencing) This filming doesn't go to well.
When Shirley left, things got weird/ Copyright WB

They made another film called "Scooby Days" (Gee, I wonder what they are talking about) in this they meet the fake Fonz.  It's as weird as it should be.  The Scoob dances with The Groove (the fake Fonz) and yeah sure that's a thing. C.J doesn't like this one either. He suggests Scooby go back ot his old show but they give him a contract to look over instead as they walk out.
I'm confused, which is which? copyright/ WB

Now Scooby goes and mingle with celebrities. This doesn't go well because Scooby is still Scooby.  He gets barred from that restaurant. They try this plan again at a hotel and what to do you think? Fred, Daphne and Velma remember when they met Scooby Doo (forgetting the Scooby is Shaggy's dog or something). They do other memories like a birthday party.  They sing a song where they miss Scooby (using stock footage).  They want him back.

Scooby imagines  that's a movie star and did a movie called "Super Scooby" (like Superman) , then does "The Sound of Scooby" I wonder what they are parodying?
No context needed/ Copyright WB

Meanwhile, C.J is holding auditions to replace Scooby  on his show. (So this is the origin of  Scrappy?) The plan was to convince them to come back to the show instead it just made them do more weird pilots.  One of them is a parody of Sonny and Cher.  The other is of the Love Boat. They visit their version of Johnny Carson to talk about their new roles. Kids all around the world say "Scooby Doo Where are you?"
They really like Dynomutt/ Copyright WB

Scooby's Angels, the parody you didn't ask for.   CJ says he thinks Scooby should go back to his Saturday Morning cartoon series ( what they are cartoons? my head hurts) he shows them everyone yelling they need Scooby doo.  Scooby agrees to return to his whole show.  Shaggy has pilot ideas too but, he gets thrown out and chases the gang. The end.

Ironically, this special has nothing to do with the normal Scooby Doo conventions in the first place. This is a very strange special but somewhat fun to see Scooby trying all these parody shows yet being very comedic.  If I was to over theorize this special cold be saying to viewers back then that Scooby is prefect the way it is so we don't need to change it. Or they were saying that Velma,Fred, and Daphne were irrelevant  because they barely in this special of any use.   They already did make around the sametime the Scooby and Scrappy show  and the next series that came out in 1980 dropped everyone that wasn't scooby, Shaggy, or Scrappy.

Is this special great? No, not really but it is it fun to watch? Yeah it was. I think it should be watched at least once to see it's madness.

That's our lookback tune in next time when Scooby Doo does get a serious role on "Law and Order: SVU" DUN DUN.

Scooby Doo 50 : The New Scooby Doo Movies

Scooby Doo 50

When you have a successful property why not do more?  After "Scooby Doo Where Are You?" did well, CBS, of course, wanted more and Hannah and ]Barbera liked money it was a match made in heaven.  Premiering on CBS on September  9th, 1972,  with two seasons with 24 episodes, The New Scooby-Doo Movies.

I loved watching this series when it reran on Cartoon Network on Sunday afternoons (I think it was Sundays). The differences between this series are 1) the length instead of 30 minutes (with commercials ) the episodes were 1 hour (with commercials). 2) It followed the format but with famous people and characters.

The fun thing about this series is that instead of Mystery Inc gang just faffing around and running into mysteries it instead had the Mystery Inc gang faffing around running into mysterious but with celebrities.   The fun thing is also seeing the real-life people being put into animated versions like with the first episode with the Three Stooges.

There's 3 of them / Copyright AT&T who owns Warner

It wasn't new for the three stooges to be seen in animated there was animated series in 1965, I've also written about (I think) about a Three stooges animated series in 1977 where the Stooges were a part robot now because why the heck not?  Anyway, the 2nd episode was them meeting with Batman Robin.  Which wasn't their first run in animation either. In fact, Batman and Robin met with Scooby Doo twice.

Get in the van and don't ask questions/ Copyright Warner Media

They're OOky and they're spooky. It's kind of fun to have this cross over where Scooby and the gang meet the Addams Family.  Interestingly enough, the Addams Family didn't have animated series before this episode aired. They were first appearing as comic characters but the frame of reference was the 1960's live-action series.  Hanna and Barbera did a series with them in 1973 for NBC. With many of the actors from the 1964 series doing the voices.  Going back to the episode, "Wednesday is Missing"  John Astin, Carolyn Jones, Jackie Coogan, and Ted Cassidy from the 1964 series came and did the voices.
Addams Family Doo / Copyright Warner Media

So apparently the Addams Family in the Scooby, never mind explaining this would just be too weird.  I love how this show also was filmed in front of a live studio audience, wait a minute, that's just a laugh track.  In this episode, the Mystery Inc gang end up as housekeepers while Morticia and Gomez go on vacation because they really wanted to leave this show.
Ha ha /Copyright Warner Media

I'm mostly breezing through the episodes because there's so much and it why not try a new style for the blog. The next few episodes had real-life celebrities came in be animated and join the cast for whatever mysterious.   Johnathan Winters, a famous comedian,  Don Knotts (the kids love Three's Company, oh wait that was before, the kids love Andy Griffith )  Phyllis Diller, Sandy Duncan (the kids love Search for Tomorrow)  who had a show on CBS the season before that lasted 13 episodes so never mind, and Sonny and Cher. (Who also had a show on CBS)

Don Knotts appeared again then Laurel and Hardy, The Three Stooges.  The Harlem Globetrotters even appeared.  Meanwhile, while Marcia Brady had a hard time meeting Davy Jones, The Mystery inc just get to bump into him like that.  It is kind of sad that so far none of the guest stars were the villains I guess, we'll save that for "Murder, She Wrote".

Davy Jones locker/Copyright Warner Media

Jerry Reed, a country music star, also appeared.  Again the show is of its time with the real-life celebrities because well, of course, it was also going to be that way.  The season finished up with Batman and Robin's second appearance and The Harlem Globetrotters.   Season 2 was shorter than a season which had 13 episodes, the second season had  8 episodes.
Can I see your homework and copy it?/Copyright Warner Media

It's interesting that they didn't think of the idea until later of having other Hanna Barbera characterless appear on this Scooby Doo series.  Finally, we got an episode where they meet "Josie and the Pussy Cats"  To be fair they are more Archie characters that H&B got to animate but don't you start.  Also since some of the Josie characters were voiced by the same people who did Scooby characters it was a match made in episode haven.
A Talking speed buggy, that's silly right Scooby?/Copyright Warner Media

Do you remember there being an animated "I dream of Jeannie"no? Me neither, the decided that might as well have these shows cross over.  "Jeannie"  was about the same "Jeannie" but she was a high school girl disguise now (because anime) and something something something silly.  Tim Conway and Don Adams appeared in the next two episodes, sadly not together.  Then H&B did another crossover this time with "Speed Buggy" because a talking dog wasn't silly enough. Plus, it is funny because H&B had the tendency to "rip themselves off" so having characters from a show that kind of copied formula is actually perfect.   They ended the series with Dick Van Dyke (no Mary Tyler Moore).

It's a fun series that also shows they were trying to keep "Scooby" fresh so, did this new idea. This was the last new Scooby series for  CBS because they didn't order another one, and the next series came out in 1976 on ABC.  I decided not to do a thing where I would talk about a specific episode since it really follows the same idea as the first series with the hook of famous people are here and have fun. It's not a bad series or boring but really kind of just it's own thing.

This idea has been done later with Scooby Doo, something we'll get to later I'm sure. But coming in 2019 they are doing a new series called "Scooby Doo and Guess Who?" which brings this format back where it's the gang meeting a famous person or character.  It will have updated stars and Batman is back so that's fun.

That's our look tune in next time when we meet Scooby Doo and he doesn't know who we are.

Scooby Doo 50: What's New Scooby Doo?

Scooby Doo 50

Preface : We continue a look at "Scooby Doo" related media for the 50th anniversary of the mystery solving great dane.  This is part of our Scooby Doo 50.

In 1969 Scooby Doo first appeared on our screens with the famous series called "Scooby Doo Where are You?" that aired on CBS  it was a big hit  that made CBS want more and made a series called "The New Scooby Doo Movies" in 1972. Then ABC had Scooby programming  and Scooby ran with out maybe a year with out a new something between 1975 and 1991.  The other market that happened for Scooby was syndication. It aired on TBS, USA Network,  and more. I've talked about Scooby Doo movie specials from the  Hanna-Barbera Superstars 10 series.

Meanwhile, Ted Turner was taking over the world and bought up Hanna-Barbera in the early 1990's and at this point he made Scooby-Doo exclusive to his networks (TNT,TBS, and some new network called Cartoon Network).  If any exposure to Scooby Doo 90's kids would get it would be thanks to the Turner networks.   Before this point it did seem Scooby's popularity had waned and people had grown tired of it, this was the case seen before back during the let's add more Scrappy to boost the franchise phase.    Ted Turner had seemed to get tired of running the world and sold his stuff to Time Warner in 1996  and Hanna-Barbera ended up  being part of Warner Brothers animation. Reruns of the different Scooby-Doo series and movies aired on Cartoon Network.

With this new found popularity maybe it was time to have some new Scooby media.  From 1998 they made new direct to video movies that also aired on Cartoon Network.  Even a live action movie came out in 2001.  Over this time though, something hadn't been done, a Scooby Doo TV series.  This brings us to the 2002 series "What's new Scooby Doo?"

"What's new Scooby Doo" came out in September of 2002 airing on Cartoon Network and on broadcast TV with Kids WB.  The concept of the series was  a short of back to basics for the franchise after years of different gimmicks ,characters being side-lined, and etc maybe it was time to just try something new but familiar.  "What's New Scooby Doo?"  brings us back the concept that started Scooby Doo in the first place "Scooby Doo, Where are you?".  It's also the first series, that wasn't "A Pup Named Scooby Doo" to bring back  Velma and Fred.   It takes place in our modern (2002) times.

The voice cast was Frank Welker , who has been the voice of Fred since the start, had the return of Casey Kasem as Shaggy. Also Frank Welker is the voice of Scooby due to the death of Don Messick in 1997. Grey DeLisle was the voice of Daphne  and Mindy Chon is Velma. The series returns us back to random person in a mask format compared to them trying "hey the monsters are real now!"

The Theme song is just as catchy as the original

The theme was done by a Canadian rock band called, Simple Plan,  which you call maybe a n alt-rock group with some emo added in for fun.  They even guest started in an episode and some of their songs ended up in the chase scenes.

Scooby Doo 50 : Finally, They Caught the 13th Ghost

Scooby Doo

Scooby Doo celebrates it's 50 year this year. This series began with "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?" that aried on CBS in 1969 then it exploded in popularity that it later received more series and later movies. Toys and prodcuts were made and sold well, it became big.   Hanna-Barbera  even tried copying themselves with making shows that kind of copied the formula of Scooby Doo.   The characters have had a long lasting effect in our media so here at Joshuaonline, we are going to be taking a look each month at a piece of Scooby-Doo media in commemoration.

Back in 1985 it's December  and a couple of children (let's say a boy and girl) are watching the final episode of "The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo" and not knowing it was the last episode.

Almost 34 Years later :  Warner Brothers Animation releases "Scooby Doo and The Curse of The 13th Ghost"   finally a finale.

Personal story time: I grew up watching my Scooby Doo Media on Cartoon Network (and possibly TNT)  and remember watching the 13 th Ghost of Scooby Doo , swearing they did catch all 13, even thinking with 13 episodes they did catch them all but nope.  (Pokemon Fail) I do love that series though.

The 13th Ghosts of Scooby Doo was the 7th series and to explain it  in short talk.  Scooby Doo had  kind of fallen out of popularity by the 1980's the series had been seen as kind of predictable and over saturated.  That did stop them from making Scooby Doo series instead they tried new things like adding Scrappy , removing everyone that wasn't Shaggy (don't do the joke , don't do the joke) and Scooby.  They did add Daphne back to the series for the 6th series "The New Scooby and Scrappy Show" in 1983.   So this series has All those plus a boy named Flim-Flam (why would you name your child that?).  Anyway, this series decided to something different to make Scooby Doo hip! fresh! amazing! new! wow! to the audience. This time the ghosts are real! (I may use this line again)

For you Scrappy haters out there (mean), this is the last series with him in it.  The series ran from 1985 for 3 months on CBS  worked on by the man who created the 90's animation hits "Animanics, Tiny Toon Adventures, and Pinky and The Brain" ,  Tom Ruegger.   (He also created Histera! which needs to be loved you!)   So, 33 years later , Warner Bros , who now was the rights to Scooby announced they were going to release a new movie that will finally wrap up the 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo.

Our fake children are now in their 40's  are jumping with joy.  Let's begin.  After the Jump because we talked too much.
