The CW Sets midseason Premiere dates for "WildCards" and Game Shows

The CW Midseason

             The CW has renewed the series "Wild Cards" for a third season, the series was renewed by its home network in Canada, CBC, seasons 3 and 4  back in May.   The new season will premiere on January  26 on a new Monday night slot.    

        Thursday nights will be game show night with the return of "Scrabble" and "Trivial Pursuit" 

         "Police 24/7" continues and moves to Wednesday nights. 

         There's no news yet on when  "All American" returns for its eight and final season.

        CBS has released their midseason line up. Featured in the line up is the spin-off to "FBI" , called "CIA",  A new Taylor Sheridan series a sequel to "Yellowstone"  called "Y:Marshals" , "Harlan Coben's Final Twist"  and "America's Culinary Cup". and the return of programming such as "Hollywood Squares". 

        

          CBS will also be airing "The Golden Globes" on January 11  and the network's final broadcast of "The Grammys" will air on February 1.

NBC Reveals Midseason 2026 Schedule

NBC  Midseason 2026 

        NBC has released its midseason schedule.  The network  has a big winter with the Winter Olympics starting on February 6 and SuperBowl LX on February 8, and the NBA All Star game on February 15.  The rest of the line up is built around these events.  

        "The Wall" is back and kicks off NBC's mid season.  It premieres on January 5, taking the slot on Mondays.  January also has the premiere of the second season of of "The Hunting Party" starting January 8, airing Thursday nights after the Law Order block.

        The day after the Olympics end, February 23, a new comedy series "The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins" premieres with two episodes, followed by a new season of "The Voice"  "St. Denis Medical" will be paired with the comedy on Monday nights. 

        NBC's Sunday Night NBA primetime games start on February 1.  Here's the full line up all times ET/PT unless otherwise noted.

FOX Sets winter 2026 Premiere Dates

     FOX has released it's winter schedule with premiere dates for new series like "Best Medicine",  a reboot of "Fear Factor" , and "Memory of a Killer" . There's also the return of "The Masked Singer" , "Animal Control, "Going Dutch" and more.  

     "The Simpsons" will have its 800th episode and season finale episode in February.  "Family Guy" returns on February with its season premiere which also is the series' 450th episode.  The return of "American Dad" to FOX is also in February.

Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas 2025

Freeform Christmas 

         Freeform's annual 25 Days of Christmas is back and ready to bring viewers 25 days of Christmas fun.  They'll continue to have "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" , "Frosty the Snowman",  "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" -which airs on Freeform in better quality than you'd find on sister network ABC,  and  "The Little Drummer Boy"  They are running the same favorites that have mostly been staples of the network for the past few years.  

         In terms of premieres to the network, there's the 2005 film "The Legend of Frosty the Snowman" a special that is unrelated to the Rankin Bass specials but features the classic snowman in a town trying to fix things for kids. It previously aired on AMC, and will air 4 times in December. Freeform has been airing the 1994 version of Miracle on 34th Street and has now added the 1947, or the original movie to it's line up  , it will air once. AMC had been airing the movie. and I'm assuming that FX will be airing it this year as well. The 1994 version airs 6 times.   And finally, they'll be adding the new "Prep and Landing" special "Disney's "Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol"  which will also only air once. The special is on Disney Plus, and ran on Disney Channel first this year, and later ABC.  

         I will note that now, Freeform can stream the Frosty and Rudolph specials on things like Hulu Live TV and Sling TV, when they air live.
