CNN adds Cuomo

CNN  Cable News
CNN has made an announcement  that Current ABC News "20/20" co-host , Chris Cuomo is to join.  He was the news anchor on "Good Morning America" until 2009 . This is the 2nd ABC News Anchor/Reporter to leave after Jake Tapper left to CNN last month, he will be hosting a new show in the afternoons.
According to  a memo to staff from Jeff Zucker  on TV Newser it seems aht Cuomo will be doing something in the mornings.
I want to share some exciting news with you.
This morning we are announcing that Chris Cuomo is joining CNN.
Chris will be an anchor on a new morning show we are going to develop for CNN. He will also be an important part of our event news coverage across the network. Chris has deep experience in both roles, most recently at ABC News, and he’s one of the smartest, most engaging journalists in television news. I’m pleased that he’s joining us and really looking forward to working with him at CNN. The press release with the news follows. Thanks.

For now , it is unknown weather he will be a co-host with current  7-9AMET , host Soledad O'Brien  or if she will be moved to a different time. If it's the latter it would the 2nd time she would  have lost a morning slot on CNN.
But there is more to the story, current ABC World News weekend anchor  David Muir  is set to become the next co-host of "20/20"  , of course staying as the weekend anchor of "World News". Read more about that here.
Meanwhile ... back at CNN,  James Carville, his wife Mary Matalin , who have been on CNN for a while  are leaving the network.  Erick Erickson , another contributor, is leaving he will be  joining Fox News Channel , while  Mark Whitaker  a CNN executive VP and managing editor  is leaving.
