Fox Releases Mid-Season 2025 Premiere Dates

FOX  Winter Mid-Season 



        
                 FOX has announced its midseason line up. It starts on January 2 with a new Thursday night comedy block.  After the 8pm hour of  Gordon Ramsay series  Hell's Kitchen, is the third season of Animal Control, and the new series Going Dutch.  

            Another Gordan Ramsay series Next Level Chef will replace Hell's Kitchen on February 13. 

            The series debut of the new medical drama Doc is January 7 at 9pm; it's being lead in by another Gordan Ramsay series: Kitchen Nightmares: Road to Superbowl LIX.   


            Season 3 of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test premieres on January 8 airing at 8pm ET.   

             FOX has swapped out the post-Super Bowl airing of Recuse: Hi-Surf  for a new episode of The Floor.  9-1-1 Lone Star and Rescue: Hi-Surf return on January 20 at 8 and 9pm, respectively.   9-1-1 : Lone Star's series finale will air on Monday, February 3 at 9pm.

             Fox mainstays of  The Masked Singer  and The Floor return on February 12.

Midseason 2025 TV: ABC

Winter  ABC   Midseason 


                ABC's 2025 midseason premiere dates have been set.   An interesting thing is that ABC's line up gets a boost from sibling streaming service, Hulu.  Only Murders in the Budling will be airing on Thursdays in January.  Unscripted series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini  will also have some broadcasts. 

            ABC aired the first season of   Only Murders in the Budling last season due the strikes, this time they will be airing season 2.   Meanwhile, new programming slate is light but there.   After only airing only one comedy in the fall season, they will be airing a new series with Tim Allen and Kat Dennings called Shifting Gears. That's it for the new series on the scripted side. 

            Will Trent and The Rookie return to the line up airing before after this season's new series  High Potential on Tuesdays.  The Bachelor is back in January 27, airing Mondays at 8pm ET with The Secret Life of Mormon Wives at 10. 

            A new version of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition premieres on January 2 and lead into blocks of "Only Murders" for four weeks. When that ends, they will fill the line up with  Scamanda  and Perfect Wife to fill Thursdays. 911, Doctor Odyssey, and Grey's Anatomy return on March 6.  American Idol and The $100,000 Pyramid debut their seasons on Sunday, March 9. 

        The Conners final season is planned for March, but no date has been set as of yet.

NBC Releases Midseason Premiere Dates

NBC Midseason 2022  Winter 



     NBC has released its midseason schedule.  Of note, NBC has decided to put some comedy on Monday Night, which has been CBS' night for years.  New Season of  Kenan will be airing back to back on Mondays starting January 3rd.  The final season of  This is US starts on January 4th.  

     The original Law & Order is back on February for it's 21st season  on February 24th. NBC will be giving the entire Thursday Night to their Law& Order series.  The Blacklist will air on Thursdays until then then move to Fridays starting February 25th. 

    NBC is the network with the Super Bowl this year, they also have the Winter Olympics which run from February 4-20.  Super Bowl LVI airs on February 13 and NBC will be airing Olympics coverage after. 
  
   Regular programming is back on Monday, February 21 with the premiere of  the American Song Contest and a new drama  The Endgame .

      In March, new series The Thing About Pam premieres on March 8 , with new seasons of   Young Rock and Mr. Mayor on the 15th.

CBS Announces Winter and Spring Premiere Dates

CBS  Winter Midseason 


   
        CBS has released it's midseason schedule that includes the return of The Amazing Race a new  hospital drama, Good Sam . CBS also has plans against the Winter Olympics on the other side on NBC , with Celebrity Big Brother and Undercover Boss.  

     Meanwhile, still on hold are the new series : Smallwood and Come Dance with Me.  The Amazing Race returns after an 18 month due to the pandemic.  Undercover Boss is returning with S.W.A.T moving to Sundays.

       Celebrity Big Brother is  returning for a third season on February 2 at 8pm and will air multiple nights.  The finale is on February 23. 

    Good Sam takes its premiere on Wednesday, January 5th at 10pm 
     
      Since this is CBS most of the schedule  stays the same as Fall with only a few changes .

FOX Releases Midseason Premiere Dates

FOX Winter TV Midseason 



      FOX has announced premiere dates for new series :    Monarch, The Cleaning Lady, and Joe Millionare : For Richer or Poorer , and the returns of  9-1-1 Lone Star , I can See Your Voice.   Also this midseason return of  Call me Kat; premieres of new series Next Level Chef and Pivoting. 

        FOX will be using an NFL double header (and The OT) as a lead in to the premiere Gordon Ramsay's newest series "Next Level Chef" on Sunday, January 2, at 8pm ET.  
   
   "9-1-1 Lone Star" will be premiering the next day, January 3, without  its companion series "9-1-1"  which will be on break until  March.  Following "Lone Star" is the new series "The Cleaning Lady" . 

  Wednesday continues to be Fox's night of competition  with  the return of "I Can See Your Voice" and new series "Next Level Chef" taking it's normal night an time on  January 5th.
     
  After the finale season of "Thursday Night Football on FOX" is over ,Thursdays are "Joe Millionaire: For Richer of Poorer" night with a two hour premiere on January 6th.  The Following week, sitcoms "Call me Kat" and "Pivoting" the 9pm slot.     Those two shows premiere on January 9 with a special multiple time zone premiere. (Meaning 8pm-9pm Eastern 5-6pm Pacific) 

    New country music drama series, Monarch, will premiere Sunday, January 30 at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT, using the NFC Championship game as a lead in and part of the series two premiere continuing February 1 at 9pm ET.  The Resident  has its winter premiere on February 1st at 8pmet

The CW sets its Midseason Premiere Dates

The CW  Winter Midseason TV  



            The CW has set midseason premiere dates.  "The Flash" and "Riverdale"are moving to new nights with a month hiatus for both series.  "Superman and Lois"  will be returning an taking a Tuesday night slot with a new series "Naomi" .   "Riverdale" is moving to Sundays starting  March 6. "The Flash" moves to Wednesdays with "Kung Fu"  starting March 9. 

     "Dynasty" is coming back before the new year, with a premiere on December 20 and move to Fridays starting March 11th. "Two Sentence Horror Stories" returns on January 16.

ABC Announces Winter Premiere Dates

           Already that time of year for networks to start releasing their winter programming schedules and details for their winter programming. 
     
   This midseason, ABC has two new series, the final season of a sitcom, one limited series, and some returning series. 
    
    First off new series, Abbot Elementary  gets a early premiere on Tuesday, December 7 at 9:30pm, the series will get the Tuesday 9PM slot on January 4. Meanwhile, on January 4th, Black-ish final season gets underway.   The Bachelor returns on January 3 at 8pm.  Back to January 4th,  drama series "Queens" returns after it's mid season finale airing Tuesdays at 10pm. 

     Starting January 5, The Goldbergs and  The Wonder Years return from their winter's break followed by  The Conners.  Season 2 of "The Chase" rounds out the night 

  Limited series Women of the Movement premieres  on January 6 at 8pm for 2 hours.  January 24, Promised Land premieres at 10pm.    "Promised Land" and "The Chase" are holding the slots  of "The Good Doctor" and "Million Little Things".

NBC 2021 Midseason Premieres

       NBC has released their mid season 2021 premiere dates.  Some shows that were planned are still not on the schedule yet, but that's to be understood.   There is the return of the series ,Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist.   The series that are held off for now are : New Amsterdam, Brookyln Nine-Nine, Good Girls, Manifest, and Law & Order: Organized Crime. 

            "Zoey's Playlist" will be taking a Tuesday slot, after being a Sunday series, the last season.  The series will lead into "This  is Us".  Meanwhile, NBC has acquired another series to fill the gap that will air Mondays starting December 7th; it will fill out the Tuesday line up

       New Comedy Series, Mr. Mayor will lead the Thursday comedy block.  Starting January 7th

The CW announces Premiere Dates

The CW  TVLookFall2020  Primetime 





         As mentioned before, The CW went a different route than the other networks (minus FOX) in delaying their fall programming (read standard) to winter as a cushion to have production of series during the Coronavirus Pandemic, today they have released their premiere dates for  winter.  

 New series, Walker , Superman &Lois, and Canadian series, Trickster.    Plus, they are brining back 11 series. 

    They start their line up on Friday, January 8 with new seasons of  Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Penn & Teller: Fool Us. 

        Season 3 of  Two Sentence Horror Stories premieres on Tuesday, January 12, along with Trickster , a series from the CBC.    

        On Sunday, January 17,  new season of  Batwoman premieres.  All American returns for season 3 on January 18. 

     Wednesday, January 20, has dual premieres with Riverdale (Season 5)  and Nancy Drew (season 2).  The remake of  Walker, Texas Ranger, here called Walker premieres on January 21 with the third season of  Legacies

      The other Sunday night program, Charmed, premieres its 3rd season on January 24.  Monday's other program , Black Lightning, joins on February 8th. 

         The new season of "The Flash" and the new series , " Superman and Lois" premieres on Tuesday, February 23.

FOX Sets winter 2020 Premiere Dates

FOX Mid season 2019-20


    FOX has released their mid season winter plans and like previous years, they are getting a head start in the new year.

   First off, a new dating series, "Flirty Dancing", starts Sunday December 29th getting a special preview after NFL football airs.

   "Last Man Standing" returns with a new season on its new night , Thursday, starting January 2, followed by a new police drama ,"Deputy" 

     "Gordon Ramsay's  24 Hour To Hell and Back" returns for a third season  on Tuesday January 7 at 9/8c. 
 
       New series, "9-1-1 : Lone Star" premieres on Sunday January 19 at 10pm/7pt across all time zones with the regular slot premiere the next day at 8/7c.

        New Comedy, "Outmatched" starts Thursday January 23, after "Last Man Standing"

        "The Masked Singer"winter premiere starts  February 2 right after the Superbowl airing in all time zones.  Taking it's regular slot on February 5  followed by a new competition series , "Lego Masters".

    New animated comedy, "Ducanville" starts February 16 at 8:30/730c.

Fox Announces Mid Season Premiere Dates

      It might still be fall, but FOX is looking to winter, they have released their mid-season premiere dates. The return of "The Orville" and the beginning of the end for "Gotham" have been announced along with a couple new series : coming as well.

          Let's start with "The Orville" returns before the new year with its season 2 premiere on December 30th  following an "NFL on Fox" doubleheader.  The regular season time slot premiere is  Thursday, January 3rd at 9/8c .

The CW to Have 'SuperGirl' and 'Legends of Tomorrow' To rotate on Mondays

The CW  Winter  Spring TV


           The CW  will be having it's DC series "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow" rotate in the Monday 8/7c slot.  This means they would be offering 23 consecutive weeks of original episodes

     Supergirl will return on January 15th as planned in that time slot and will air until February 5th. Legends of the Tomorrow then takes the slot starting February 12th airing for 9 weeks , then from April 16 to June  , Supergirl returns. 

   The  CW gave  new series, "Black Lightning" the Tuesday slot of "Legends" , that was announced back in November. That Series  January 16th at 9pmet.

    Editors Note: Meant to post this earlier but it got lost in the drafts.



    FOX released its winter schedule. There are some changes to schedules with a new vocal competition series , with FOX back  in the game of having one  called  "The Four"  the series will air Thursdays meaning  that  "Gotham" and "The Orville" are being moved from that day.  The return of "The X-Files" and new series ," 9-1-1" get Wednesdays with "Empire" and "Star" returning in Spring.

             -"Gotham" return date hasn't been announced yet.
            - "The Gifted" has a season finale on January 15th
             - Tuesday series get shifted for "LA to Vegas"

CBS Winter Schedule 2018

TV Look Winter   CBS 



              CBS has released their winter programming. Some things of note :  A Celebrity version of "Big Brother" starts nights before  the winter Olympics and will run during the Olympics. The winter also is the return of "The Amazing Race".    There are also the two new series slated to start new Comedy , "Living Biblically" and new drama " Instinct".   Both these shows are taking spots of shows that didn't get full season orders "9JKL" and  "Wisdom of the Crowd" respectively.   Survivor also gets a return , still no decisions on if and when  "Elementary", "Code Black" , and "Undercover  Boss" return.

CBS announces winter schedule and programming

     CBS has announced  their winter programming.  There will be  anew comedy block on Wednesdays  filling the gap during "Survivor" breaks  the return of  "Mike and  Molly"  in it's new season and a return of "The Odd Couple" coming in spring.

Here's a look:

Undercover Boss will run for 3 Sundays between  December 20th  and January 3rd.   Airing at around 8:30PMET/8pt on the 20th and January 3rd (due to Football) and  at 8pmet/pt on the 27th , then normal Sunday Line up returns.
