Upfront 2016: CBS

CBS  Upfronts  TVLookfall2016 

 CBS has announced their fall schedule , which sees more comedies.    "The Amazing Race" is not on the schedule it is being held, possibly to fill in a gap if a show is canceled, Like the past couple years with CBS having right to half a season of  Thursday Night Football (this time NBC also has rights) "Big Bang Theory" will start the season on Mondays then make it's move back to Thursdays starting October 27th.  The Reboot "MacGyver" gets a Friday slot.
Midseason has the new seasons of "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" and "Undercover Boss", new dramas  "Doubt" and "Training Day" , and a reality show  "Hunted."

ABC Upfronts TVLookFall2016 

    ABC has announced their fall schedule .
   The Middle is making a move to Tuesdays  same time slot as it currently holds on Wednesdays this is the first move for the show.  They are launching 5 new shows in the fall  : a legal Drama  "Conviction" , "Notorious", Designated Survivor.   New Comedy  of  "American Housewife"  and Speechless.  "Speehchless" will be surrounded by ABC veteran shows on Wednesdays. Also Tuesday will be 2 hours of comedy, giving ABC 5 hours of comedy a week.  "Agents of  S.H.I.E.D " is moving to 10PMET on Tuesdays  , it has been a weak ABC performer,

     NBC has announced their fall line up for the 2016-17 season, Sunday.

     One thing you will notice is  they are only adding 3 new series this season  : “Timeless,” “This Is Us” and “The Good Place".  The rest are coming at midseason: Chicago Justice,” “The Blacklist: Redemption,” “Midnight, Texas,” “Emerald City” and “Taken”  “Great News,” “Powerless” and “Trial & Error.”
 NBC has moved "Blindspot" to  Wednesdays taking the old "Mysteries of Laura Slot"  Comedies are back on Thursdays. "Chicago Med" and "Blindspot" round out the rest of Thursdays.

CBS announces winter schedule and programming

CBS  TVLOOKFALL2015 

     CBS has announced  their winter programming.  There will be  anew comedy block on Wednesdays  filling the gap during "Survivor" breaks  the return of  "Mike and  Molly"  in it's new season and a return of "The Odd Couple" coming in spring.

Here's a look:

Undercover Boss will run for 3 Sundays between  December 20th  and January 3rd.   Airing at around 8:30PMET/8pt on the 20th and January 3rd (due to Football) and  at 8pmet/pt on the 27th , then normal Sunday Line up returns.

Notes:  This season ABC is continuing it's blocks of Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday Comedies, the surprise hit "The Neighbors" moves to Friday following Tim Allen's  3rd Season of "Last Man Standing" , while ABC is trying it's test of   weaving long running comedies and new ones between each other on Wednesdays.  "Once A Upon a time" has  new spinoff and that will be on Thursdays.  Tuesday seems to be a day where ABC will be trying everything new at once.  

    In midseason : New shows include "Killer Women" , "Mind Games" , Resurrection" , "Mixology" , "The Quest" .  The Bachelor and The taste Return in mideason as well.   Suburgatory was renewed the  slot has not been announced yet,  it could be that ABC is holding it back until  a slot opens up.

  Notes:   The voice is getting a two day slot again , the program is one of NBC's few hits ,  

Also Parenthood is moving to Thursdays , and Parks and Recreation gets the lead off as NBC tries 3 new shows on Thursdays. Fridays : NBC is trying a new show "Dracula" replacing the Rock Center slot. 

Here are shows NBC has chosen to cancel  

1600 Penn, 30 Rock, Animal Practice , Deception, Do No Harm ,Go On ,Guys with Kids, The Office ,Smash, The New Normal, Up all Night,Whitney. 

Some shows we don't know about yet are  "Hannibal"  and "The Celebrity Apprentice ".

ABC Mid season arrangements

ABC , Midseason 2012-13 

   ABC has announced their mid-season plans,  "Suburgatory"  is moving back to it's 8:30/7:30c Wednesday slot on April 3rd  after the finale of "The Neighbors" the week before.  The New comedy "How to live with your parents (for the rest of your life)" premieres April 3rd at  9:30/8:30c.  "Happy Endings " and  "Don't Trust the B... in apartment 23"  end seasons in March , replaced by "Dancing with the stars :results".
  "Private Pactice" which has been canceled gets replaced by a new season of "Body of Proof" Tuesdays  at 10/9c.  Starting February 5th
 "Last Resort" ,another canceled show gets replaced by a new show "Zero Hour" Thursdays at 8/7c  Starting February 14tth.
 "The Taste" , a new show starts Tuesday January 22nd from 8/7c to 10/9c then returns the next at it's normal 8/7c hour slot.
"Red Widow" starts  March 3rd at 9/8c to 11/10c, it's replacing the canceled "666 Park Avenue"  will settle into the 10/9c slot the next week
"Dancing with the Stars" returns March 18th from 8/7c to 10/9c ,with results show on Tuesdays starting the next Tuesdays.
"Celebrity Diving " starts March 19th at 8/7c
"Family Tools" starts May 1st  at 8:30/7:30c.

    CBS has announced it's fall line up for the 2012-13 season. There is no new information on "Rules of Engagement" They have also made some dramatic changes to their line up as well. Including "Two and Half Men" will be changing days and times moving to Thursdays at 8:30/7:30 after "Big Bang Theory". New Series Include the Dramas ELEMENTARY, VEGAS, MADE IN JERSEY, Plus the New Comedy PARTNERS.  Last year's  hit "2 Broke Girls" takes the Monday 9/8c slot.

   NBC has announced it's fall line up. Here are some things of note : "Rock Center With Brian Williams" , NBC's newest news magazine show  will be leaving it's awful Wednesday slot to move to Thursdays at 10/9c, I say that's good move it probably won't be number 1 at that time but will do better than now. "Community" and "Whitney will be moving to Fridays. NBC will also have comedies  4 days  a week.

FOX Business is making Changes

Cable Tv NEWS 
   FOX Business Network Made announcement  today about schedule changes , including the end of Freedom Watch with Judge Andrew Napolitano , Power and Money with David Asman ,and Follow the Money with David Asman.  Replacing these shows will be repeats of The Willis Report, Lou Dobbs Tonight, and  Cavuto.  A new show with Melissa Francis , who joined the network from CNBC earlier, is coming soon it will be at  5PMET . When that happens Wills' show will be at 8PMET.
   The Press release says:

Judge Napolitano will continue his role on both FOX Business and FOX News, providing key legal insights surrounding the growing intersection between Washington and Wall Street. In addition to co-hosting The Five on FNC, Eric Bolling will also lend his unparalleled expertise on oil and energy stemming from more than 20 years on the trading floor to both networks as a commodities contributor.

     David Asman will be still CO-hosting "After the Bell".

     This starts February 20th. John Stossel's show will still air Thursdays at 10PMET.  

Good Bye Playboy Club

TV  NBC cancellations 

 The First network show cancelled  of the year is... "Playboy Club" NBC announced today that the drama is ending and will be replaced by Brian Williams new news magazine "Rock Center". After only two episodes the 10/9c central slot on Mondays will be replaced by repeats of "Prime Suspect" then on October 31st it will be "Rock Center"
