Anime
I think it's time to talk about "Girls Last Tour" again. I've talked about episode 5 and Episode 1, int that order, So it's episode 9 time. That makes sense.
One of the magical things about this show is the atmosphere and sound space as I mentioned in episode 1, this episode starts with the girls on their kattenrad and through this building. You can hear the machine riding on the metal, and the pipes are making their sounds, it's great sound building that this series does so well. In the background of the series even without fully mentioning it, is death. This series has the background of the concept of death in it. The world is pretty much decimated, you don't see much living creatures of any sort, there's no trees, the buildings are old some are falling apart. It's called Girls' Last Tour for a reason. The line where Yuu asks "Hey, what does "alive" mean?" is main of idea of this episode.
There's a giant robot thing that they don't know what it is. Yuu questions is it a life form, and Chito answers by saying that machines aren't alive. They end up seeing a fish, showing that his place was a fishery. There was one fish, still alive, then a robot talks to them. The robot says that they can't eat the fish because he's the manager of the place. (Yuu really wants to eat the fish)
The place was once a fish farm, but now there's only fish left. (the one we saw earlier) The robot says that can swim in any of the non used tanks. The robot mentions that its job is to maintain everything even without people aren't around. Chito almost drowns (woah, this is Girls' last tour not Girl's last tour, don't die) Yuuri does save her before this show gets dark, well more dark.
Instead of trying to eat it, Yuu maybe wants to friends with the fish. The robot says that it was programmed with empathy, meaning it can connect with humans, which is why its been so accommodating to them. During their sleep, they are awoken by the giant robot who is now dismantling the spot. The smaller robot "talks" with the bigger one for the girls and it says it won't stop. In a turn from earlier, Yuu worries about the fish and fears for its life.
Yuu goes to explode the robot while, Chito wonders if it's wrong to "kill" it because it's "alive". The idea of what life is comes through her mind as she tries to understand. The robot is destroyed and the smaller robot says that the fish and he will live a little longer. Though, all things will die one day. Maybe life means that something has to end.
The episode's question is what is life? Are the robots alive, or are they just working machine's like the kattenrad. The difference is the robots (at least the smaller one) can talk and move on their own. After all that wondering what is alive, they decided to pick a fish over the large robot, mostly because Yuu grew more attached to it. The episode attaches the idea of mortality to it more than the others, have done because it also ties in the girls two lives. Chito almost drowns, again death, her life was that close to ending. The one great equalizer for the robots, the girls, the fish is death. Does make a person think without saying what would be the right then to do.
The smaller robot mentions that death will come to all at some point. I think this episodes shows more how this wonderful series can make a person enjoy what's going on and think about what the situation. The music and the sound effects were great through and really added to the composition of the show. This another stand out episode in a stand out anime.
That's it for now: tune in next time when don't eat that fish.

One Shot Posts: Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun
Anime
Welcome to another Joshuaonline "One Shot Post" here on Joshuaonline, part of our posts that we don't think fit in any of our other segments on this blog. Sometimes, I have used this segment to write about Anime, in this case , we've done it again.

Here's an interesting premise for a show: A 14 year old boy is sold to a demon by his parents and his life is better than it was before he was sold. You read that right. "Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-Kun" is a 2019-2020 anime series, that also will be getting a season 2 in 2021 (also the series is called "Marimashita! Iruma-Kun) with this premise.
Our main blue haired main character is 14-year-old Iruma Suzuki, who was just minding his business working on a fishing boat when he is grabbed by a demon named Sullivan and brought to the netherworld. Iruma's not dead or anything (that'd be a bad twist) and he demon gives him a way to understand Demon talk and words. So why did a demon buy our main character? (plot reasons?) This old man demon wants one thing... loading.... a grandson. This show about a boy who is sold to a demon is about a boy sold to a demon who is lonely and just wants a grandson because he wants to brag about having a grandson to other demons who have grand children. That's the sweetest thing I've never thought would be written.
We learn about them through the series that Iruma's parents in our world (slightly) are awful people. You would at least get the grasp of that from the fact that they willingly sold their son to a demon. Iruma even figures that yeah the would really sell him to a demon. Iruma has this thing about him where he can't refuse if someone asks him for help or makes a request of him. So when Sullivan begs him to let him be his grandfather, Iruma can't refuse. This will play into his character as the series progresses on.

This is a post about Nichijou
One Shot Posts
I wasn't really going to do this post but, there's a really good reason why I'm doing this and will mention that way later. I found "Nichijou" a few years ago and enjoyed it. The hard part is writing about it because how do I describe this to someone and make them interested in watching without either killing a joke, looking insane, or making the show sound boring? Eh, who knows?
Nichijou is a 2011 anime with 26 episodes based of a manga of the same name written by Keiichi Arawi. The anime was produced by Kyoto Animation (who also did "K-ON") . It's pretty much about the everyday lives of the characters in the series. It's comedy and slice of life series, but again that is underselling it badly.
This series has a large cast of characters mainly focusing on a trio of three high school girls named Yuko Aioi, Mio Naganohara, and Mai Minakami. The other main characters are in a different part of town with Professor (no other name is given , In Japanese it's Hakase ) Shinonme, Nano, and Sakamoto. The professor is an eight-year-old girl who made Nano, who is a robot, Sakamoto is a cat who can talk because the professor made a scarf that allows him to speak.
The plots of many of the segments have Yukko trying to get a joke in, being lazy, or having just hte worst luck. Mio is Yukko's friend and she has more a short tempter and plays a straight man to Yukko's comedy. She also is a talented manga drawer and prefers to draw yaoi which she likes to hid doing and this has caused some great scenes in the series. Mai is the quietest of the three but is a prankster and really is a foil to Yukko's comedic acts.
Meanwhile in the Shinomone household, Professor is one of those really smart kids who might have a degree or something. She doesn't really act like an overly intelligent girl and more like your average 8 year old. Has a penchant for sharks, snacks, and fun. She spends most of her time at home . She created Nano, who is a robot that looks like a teenage girl (The future is now!) Much like how when watching you can forget that the professor is a genius the same is forgetting that Nano is a robot. The only way you can tell is the giant key in her back, or if a limb comes off. The cat, Sakamoto, wants them to treat him like an adult since in cat years he's the oldest. He also still is a cat. Nano does want to go to school and be a normal girl when she does she ends up meeting the three above thus, combining the worlds that were separated.
These aren't the only characters that have a role in the series either. There's a teacher with the characteristic of being nervous and easily frightened. Her name is Izumi Sakarai. Meawnhile, there's a male teacher that likes her but afraid to tell her. The principal has the same name has The Professor but we don't know if they are related in anyway. There's also a vice principal who likes to do mean things to the principal he's kind of bitter. There's also a science teacher who comes into play later on with her plots centering on being obsessed with Nano being a robot

One Shot Posts: Dragon Pilot
Anime
One Shot Posts time! A segment on the blog here where we find something to talk about that might not fit into other categories and spaces or lets us be more free wheeling.
This time we are talking about "Dragon Pilot: Hisone and Masotan" an Anime series from 2018 (because that's how we roll) and for the first time on here a look at a series that was only on Netflix so our first Netflix series ever to be talked about this blog this is big day. Now, there are reasons why we kind of stay away from Netflix talking and other things but I don't want to bog down this post.
The series is a quite interesting one. The main character ,a woman named Hisone Amakasu, has recently joined the Japan Air-Self Defense Force ends up going to a secret hangar and finds a dragon. The defense force is using dragons for military stuff because, of course. Anyway, she was made a dragon pilot (roll credits). Since the dragon likes Amakasu she ends up becoming his pilot. (how sweet)
There's another pilot we meet in the first episode named Nao Kaizaki who seems to be a little aggressive. The OTF (Organic transformed flyer) /Dragons are disguised as fighter planes (because of course) and Hisone has to now has to teach it to how to be a fighter plane. Oh, and the way this works is the pilot has to be inside the dragon's mouth. She gets mad and storms off after letting out steam. She has habit of saying things that are on her mind. Later on, she goes to the dragon after trying to connect with him and he ingests her.
Because of this they are flying around. With some help Amakasu seems to get some understanding of how to work with this. The first episode was fun and pretty good and entertaining. Now to episode two.
Now there's a a character named Hiroki Ikushima who is tasked with making Amakasu's flight suit. Nao doesn't like Hisone very much and her plans to mess with her doesn't work. Hisone tries to think of a name for the OTF and she also learns that Nao was in line to be a dragon pilot because her mother was one and follow in that line. Hisone tries to ask the dragon to take Nao as a pilot but that doesn't work. Nao runs off and Hisone asks if she she go find her but first she asks for the dragon's forgiveness after she hurt his feelings earlier too. Nao ends up being a dragon pilot too now! Oh the dragon has a name - Masotan.
The first two episodes are pretty fun and this series has a nice mixture of comedy, slice of life, action scenes, and drama to work out well. I really like the main character her personality is interesting since she tries to restrain herself from saying whats on her mind showing a stark contrast to how she is when she talks.
The animation and designs are nice I like the styling of the animation and characters and Mastotan's design really nice and distinct. From the first two episodes it was very fun to watch and if you can handle a lot of dragon barfing up people scenes (its not graphic). I may come back to this show on the blog in the future. So check it out on Netflix if you have it it's both subbed and dubbed.
That's it for us now, tune in next time when we get outside of this bear, uh send help!

One Shot Posts: Mirai
Anime Movies Reviews
Yes, Yes TV focused blog is doing a movie because why not? This is one of our One Shot Posts, for things that don't fit with our normal posts or series of posts.
The 2018 film Mirai is directed and written by Mamoru Hosoda the man who worked the "Digimon Movie" also created films like "The Girl Who Leap Through Time", "Summer Wars" , "Wolf Children", and "The Boy and The Beast" This movie was his latest one.
Mirai is a movie about a little boy at the age of 4 who's life gets changed with the birth of his little sister named Mirai. Mirai means future. This movie starts with showing us Kun (the boy) and how is first happy then turns against the baby because of all the attention she's getting from the parents as newborns tend to get by necessity. While the audience gets Kun's perspective primarily, we also see that those of his parents with their everyday lives shown maybe a little more naturally. The father character has decided to be a stay at home while working from home while the mother has gone back to work.
Since Kun is a 4-year-old boy he has has the tendency to go into tantrums when he is un-happy. He lashes at his sister, mother, and father at different parts of the movie. The house they live in is pretty much the main setting it's a unique house built around a tree which personally, I like the design of the house, I'd love to live there. The center part provides a place for plot to work out. It's kind of a spot where Kun goes to let off some steam.
Gonna do this part mostly spoiler free. This movie is very much a slice-of-life style of movie where the added element is Kun's immigration when he's in that middle part of the house. For the first time he meets a man who says he was the prince of the house , which turns out to be his dog Yukko. Yukko was in the same position as Kun when Kun was born. Kun steals the dog's tail and turns into a dog boy. Later Kun, tells his parents that the dog prefers the better dog food. The rest of the movie goes into different little stories where Kun helps his sister by meeting his sister older from the future, learns a little more about his mother by meeting with her as a child, and learns how to ride a bike with help from his younger grandpa Each time from going to the middle of the house the imagination scenes helps Kun learn more about life.
The last part of the movie, all I will say is kind of the unsettling part of the movie where it doesn't even feel like the rest of the movie, all I will say I was surprised. I enjoyed this movie while slow in pace it had a great mark to it and very engaging where it never felt too slow or wandering. The imagination sciences are creative and kind of above maybe what a 4-year-old would think but, that's not a bad thing. The most tedious part would be Kun's tantrums because tanturms are uncomfortable to be around in the first place so those are hard to watch. Otherwise, I think it was a strong and entertaining movie that had a good mixture of heart, comedy, drama, imagination, and realism that I think makes it well done. Mostly, it's a movie about the main character trying to figure out life still and understand new things that are happening that is a message that I think any age can understand as new things and concepts are being added to life. You see that in the movie with the parents as well as Mom tires to figure out her job and her family and Dad tries to bond with the new baby while also taking care of Kun. It's also a very family movie meaning that it's focused on family and learning about the family and how things from the past can be passed down to the future. (Wait a minute)
The animation is really great as well, the details were strong. They had an actual architect design the home and it shows well to make a unique home that also fits will with the story. I also like use of paper animation in the end of the film and the details used for the trains.
I do recommend this movie and you can get it on DVD/Blu Ray, currently. It was a worthy movie to be nominated for awards this year and enjoyed it.

Another Look at "Girls' Last Tour" From Episode 1
Anime
I did a post about "Girls' Last Tour" focusing on episode 6 and since I think it would be fun to do another post on this series and the timing is right since the Blu-Ray comes at the end of January (January 29th) dubbed and subbed (We aren't being paid to say this) we take a look at episode 1 called "Starry Sky/War"
The first 2 minutes of this episode and the series as a whole is amazing sonic and visually. There is diegetic sound of water dripping, screws moving because of the kattenrad moving and causing the loose screws around to shake. You can some pipes and otherwise it's dark. Then this choral music starts and we the main characters Chito and Yuuri who are driving and riding in the kattenrad respectively . When the choral music starts it warms up the scene that otherwise feels cold and dark because of the cold and dripping. Showing us that our main characters are friendly and warm in light.
This is series that is post-Apocalypse setting story where something has wiped out most of humanity. Our main focus are these two girls and their journey. They have been in this darkness for sometime and trying to figure out to get out. They also introduce our characters traits very well with Chito seeming to be the more serious one, while Yuuri is the more laid back one. When Chito goes to sleep there's some dream she has that maybe a flashback on the past and how this journey started. They follow a breeze to see if that's a way out and there's light and finally, they've made it out and can see the night's sky of starry beauty. The visuals in this episode
The scence where they take in the sky is a nice touch to end that part as they haven't seen it in sometime they have some appreciation of it. The next part is called "War" Yuu is doing some test shooting Chito doesn't carry a weapon saying that she doesn't need one. They in area that has some tanks and artillery. This part also gives us some insight into their knowledge of the world and what's going on. Yurri sees all the weapons and wonders why they people made all these weapons instead of food more food would make their lives in the present easier. Or when Yui asks about war or to be exact war means killing people , right? Why would they do that? Chi's answer is maybe they their interests didn't fit with the other side's interests. They also find food, which makes Yurri very happy.
They find some chocolate flavored rations as well and they don't know what is chocolate. Yuuri then points her weapon at Chito for the last ration now, don't take this moment in a dark way, she seems to be taking what Chi said earlier about war being over resources and applying it. Yurri eats the final ration then Chi jumps her. The moments here are fun and shows their more playful side.
I think the start of this series was good one to set up and meet our characters and the world they are in. It's not going to through the normal things you see in post end of the world themed media. We are going to be following these characters on their journey as they mostly just survive. I've liked this series since it came out and think it's charming and brings a good time. So take a look yourself. I may dip back into the show in the future.
I think you should give this series a chance if you haven't seen it, it's currently (2019 January) on Amazon Prime streaming (with subs) and will be on Blu-Ray(dubbed/subbed) from January 29th.
Tune in next time, after I fight this guy for some food.

One Shot Posts: Girls Last Tour Episode 5
One Shot Posts Anime
Some things don't fit into anywhere else on this blog or we don't have enough to talk about a whole series or whatever. This is One Shot Posts were we can talk about an episode of something random , aspects of a show even a random detail we notice, or something like that. Or just a chance to be off the cuff and try something new.
We look at an anime called "Girls' Last Tour" it came out in 2017 and boiled down to three sentences. It's a show takes place during an apparently post-apocalyptic world where most of the people are gone. Instead of show about our main characters trying to fight off monsters, zombies, or other people because the world ended, they have are focused on getting around and finding food and surviving. Yuuri and Chito are the main (only) characters of all the episodes, sometimes they run into other people but mostly it's just them.
I decided to talk about episode 5 because it looks at things we kind of take for granted. Episodes in this series are divided into 2 or 3 segments that may or may not connect. In this episode we have three : "House" , "Nap", and 'Sound of Rain.
In House Yuuri and Chito are traveling past some houses where people used to live but don't now. In this series if you choose to watch the whole thing, the two girls don't know a lot about things we know because they've not experienced them or have a remembrance of them , themselves. So Yuuri or Yuu (the blonde girl ) wonders what houses were used for and Chito or Chi (pronounced chee) (the dark haired girl) explains that people couldn't live without a house. They find a room and enter it. Chi remarks that it's nice to have an actual room and four walls surrounding you. Then they imagine stuff in the room like a bunk bed, bookshelf, a pantry, and more until the room looks very nice.
It gives a beautiful feeling of warmth and happiness that many do experience at home the room they imagine isn't too grand or nothing too out of place but it is something they don't have. Most people don't think about this because of what we have now , that see these sort of things all the time in our own homes with tables, chairs, beds, and etc. Sadly, the images were just in their heads and the room returns to its more bairn state. The next day they get back on their Kattenrad and travel on. Yuu remakes that road is their house and she imagines a roof on the Kattenrad but Chi, kills this.
Does make one thing about our characters as Chi remarked about how they can't stay there anyway because they'd run out of food, that the whole focus for them is their survival. They have to move on even if they didn't want to.
In Nap it gets surreal. Since Yuu and Chi have had a long night they end up taking a nap. Chito has some strange dream, One where Yuu grows huge but still herself and makes her fall into the water because why not? Then she imagines Yuuri as a giant fish who wants to eat her. She wakes up from that strangeness before she gets eaten. She looks at Yuu dreaming of eating food because she really likes food and Chi stuffs a rock in Yuu's mouth. Not much to opine on in the segment but it was fun and surreal.
In Sound of Rain I love how the show looks in general great imagery and sound usage this segment uses that to the fullest. It's raining and the duo take cover to let the storm pass. Yuu finds a metal stick and decides to hit it against a beam to hear its sound. Yuu takes collects some water and hears the sound of the dripping on the floor and decides to see what happens when it hits her helmet. They take some other objects and position it around dripping spots. They enjoy the sounds it makes. Chito says this is maybe what is called music, Yuu wonders what music is. The credits play with the music made and some singing to give it a nice effect. It comes back to them when the rain stops which also ends the music.
The simplicity of the rain even it can make something grand like music. It was calm relaxing segment that kind of just takes a breath and shows the simplicity of what's around us.
I picked this episode to show how well even something simple can be a fun and well done story and how a show can get to feel into its emotions very well. I say give the whole series a chance if you haven't seen it already.. You can stream in the US on Amazon Prime streaming.

We look at Stitch.
Anime Lilo and Stitch
Flashing back to my Powerpuff Girls Z lookback , I ended it with this line
"Lilo and Stitch" is a popular Disney movie that came and 2002 and it was popular and then spawned sequels and a television series. So after the final episode and TV movie came out in 2006 , Lilo and Stitch kind of just stopped , but still popular there was nothing more the whole thing, then again that's not a bad thing. But apparently, there were other plans.
Walt Disney Television International (so at least, someone didn't just try to make an anime knock off) , TV Tokyo , and Madhouse (For those that aren't anime inclined they are a major studio in the anime business) all go together to create "Stitch!". This series ran from 2008 to 2011 with 83 episodes and 3 specials.
Going back to "Powerpuff Girls Z" a second, that series took the American show and aged up the characters, made them not sisters, not related to the professor, and normal girls that happened to get hit with 'z-rays'. That's a change , now back to my line from the end that started this, "Lilo has left Stitch and has moved to a different country and a new girl.", that's what this anime is in a short amount of words.
In episode 1 this whole series kind of wipes out the whole thing "Lilo and Stitch" was about , family, even as the series showed a weird family like Lilo's with her sister being her parental figure, and also having 3 aliens in the family. That they are family and always stick together. This episode obliterates that. In fact that means the whole series obliterates that. It's not an alternate take of L&S it's like a continuation. Jumba mentions that Stitch is running away because as he says, "...just because little girl,Lilo, has new boyfriend now and is all washed up with 6-2-6 is no reason to act bad. " So yes Stitch left Lilo because Lilo has a new boyfriend and isn't paying attention to Stitch. (What?) That's what I got from that part , but I'll say something else down later on that frames this differently. (so stick with us , please)
Now that new girl part. There's a girl named Yuna who lives In Japan or close enough to it and who is 10 years old (ages up to 11 in one of the seasons) and likes karate. She's an alright and actually a good character. So Stitch crashes into her Island part of Japan and eventually the end up meeting in this episode. She tries to "arrest" Stitch then they fall in the water. This series does remember that Stitch can't swim and of course Yuna saves him. Later there's a thunderstorm and the find a shelter and she's afraid of thunder. Stitch shows once again how sweet he is and comforts her. ( awww) After the storm , Yuna's grandmother finds them and there's a stone that can grant wishes and Stitch wants to be ruler of the universe. ( Ehhh I wouldn't mind that) The grandmother tells Stitch that he has to prove he is worthy by doing good deeds. Stitch decides he will stay them and Yuna is going to help They are also going with the dog cover story thing. We got a new phrase to replace Ohana , it's Ichariba Choodee as Yuna says it means "Meet ones cousins forever". Also poor Ghantu doesn't get a break , at the end of "Leroy and Stitch" he gets to become part of the Galactic Federation but apparently he gets dishonorably discharged before this series starts and he's back to working for Hamsterveil.
Episode 2: Are Jumba and Pleakly in this series ? I am not going to give everything that happens in an episode just to make this easier. But yes Jumba and Pleakly are in this series. But first, Yuna does start her helping Stitch with his good deeds. Yuna does stay with her grandma but that's because her father is away she gets a postcard from him and he won't be coming home when he planned because he got a new job. Jumba and Pleakly are tasked with spying on Stitch to make sure he acts correctly. As I said before, this series has this it's "arc" like Lilo and Stitch the Series' task was for them to find the other experiments made by Jumba. Jumba made Stitch a good deeds counter. (We are getting our 100 deeds for Eddie McDowd mixed up in ourLilo Yuno and Stitch) I am watching the dub for reference but Stitch has really upped his English speaking (or Japanese in the other version) or something. They didn't get the same voice actor of Stitch to speak in this series for the dub, but he did sound close. (Still minus 5 pts for not getting the original voice) Jumba and Pleakly decide to stay and make their own guest house to work with Stitch and help him too. (Got most of the old gang back together) Also, the voices for these characters are different than their movie series counterparts.
Random line: Yuna's Grandmother doesn't seemed phased by all this E.T stuff

That's our lookback and tune in next time when we find out that Lilo has left Stitch and now Stitch has moved on to a different country and a new girl.I knew what I was doing there, and was actually planning this much sooner than over 2 years later, but better late and well thought out then early and messy. So the theme of this is related to that Powerpuff Girls Z in that we are looking a another American cartoon series being made into an anime. I did like Powerpuff Girls Z and think it was a fun adaptation series , will this be the same? (Who Knows?)

Powerpuff Lookback: Powerpuff girls Z
Powerpuff Girls
The Powerpuff Girls , was a Cartoon Network series that ran from 1998 to 2005. I infact am a fan of this series... and this year they are doing a remake of the series and I hope it does well and is done well. Since this is Joshuaonline and we sometimes like go off the beaten path. (Ugggh that just makes us sound snooty, who wrote that?, also we are so off that path we were eaten by bears) That takes us to take a look at something called PowerPuff Girls Z. (The First anime looked at here on Joshuaonline, this day will go down in History)

well they seem happy to talk about it.
In 2006 until 2007 a 52 episode Anime version of Powerpuff Girls was made called Power Puff Girl Z (the Z means amaZing , sorry) .
Here's the original series in a summary: Three girls were made by Professor Utonium he was mixing their ingredients when a chemical called chemical X accidentally got into the mixture and this cause the the little girls to be super powered and they became heroes and save their town from monsters and evil. (Never complain about your Pot holes again ) The three girls are named Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles. (you know the intro does this well) Episodes involve them saving the town and the things they do in their lives. That's our summary.
Now to Z : In this series , they aren't sisters or even have superpowers, or know each other at first. The Professor , by association isn't their father , but he is a a father to a boy named Ken. They are also older than in the original series or even the up coming remake series. Oh and a dog too.(you may think our mentioning the dog has no point...well nope you'll see) In this series it's called New Townsville , compared to the original's Townsville. (no spell check I mean Townsville , does Australia have this problem?) One day the town there's snow in the middle of summer (ooh my kind of summer) and icebergs are forming over the city (ummmm ok) so Ken suggests using Chemical Z ,yes they changed letters ,to fix it and he shoots the rays to destroy the storm. These rays also went other places and three hit our heroes. These rays come into play in most of the series as it affects and makes the villains and strange things that happen in the town. One Hits the dog , again this is important. Eventually all 3 of the girls meet each other and become the superheros ,and unlike the original series not everyone in town knows they are.
copryight TV Tokyo
They went to the Clark Kent school of disguises
The dog, named Poochie , is important because he signals to the girls when they have some superheroing to do. (also he's a robot dog , see now that would be extra info) Mo Jo Jo was a big part in the original series and he is here in this series, in both series was affected by Chemical (X/Z) otherwise used to be a regular chimp. Also the Powerpuff girls' biggest Villain from the original series , HIM , was in this series and had an arc. He even causes alot of the some of the middle episodes... chaos. For example, Him gets Bubble's toy to make it able to break up the powerpuff girls.
copyright TV Tokyo
"I'll get you Batman... oh that's Him .hmmm"
There is a difference in their powers in this show , they don't have laser eyes , heat breath, ice breath , but can use bubbles, a hammer, and Yo-Yo, and of course they can fly. As I said earlier they aren't sisters in this series , here's a look at their families: Blossom has a sister "Kasey" ,Bubbles lives with her grandmother. Buttercup has a pro wrestler for a father , her mother is the least aggressive one , and she also has two brothers. They took some of the personalities from the original series and expanded them here , Blossom's leadership like skills, though the other girls don't want there to be a leader. She also likes comic books and super heroes , which made it ironic that she becomes one ( a super hero not a comic book...but you already knew that , I just haven't said anything in some time) and she has a thing for sweets. (Who doesn't?) Bubbles, like in the original, is the "sweetest" one. she also helps when there's tension between the strong personalities of Buttercup and Blossom get in the way and causes them to fight. She also has a love for animals. Buttercup's tomboyish ness is even more in this series too the way she dresses , when she first is changed to into a superhero by the Z Ray she gets angry about the skirt. She has a love of sports and is a tough talker. (probably why she has the hammer)
It's interesting to see this show's take on the original series ... but yet giving most of the show it's own arcs and story-lines that are original . I as a fan of said original series, have found enjoyment in this one it has a lot of it's own flare. If you are watching it to expect it to be the same exact show then that will disappoint , but watching it by itself is really nice take.
