The Golden Globes 

               The nominations for the Golden Globes have been announced.  This year, there's a new category for podcasts.   The awards show airs on CBS and Paramount Plus on January 11 and Nikki Glaser will be the host again.

        The 77th annual primetime Emmy Awards are around the corner. That means the nominations are out and time for our annual post with the list.  The award show airs on Sunday, September 14, at 8pm ET/5pt on CBS. 

2025 Oscar Nominations announced

Oscars Award Shows 

         The 97th Academy Awards nominations are out.  Movies like "Dune: Part Two" , "The Brutalist",  "Wicked" are up for Best picture.  "Flow" , "Inside Out 2" , "Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl"  etc. are up for  Best animated film.  The award show airs March 2nd at 7pm ET/4pt on ABC and Hulu.  Here's the full list. 

2024 Oscar Nominations announced

        The 96th Annual Academy Awards are around the corner, this March.  Oppenheimer gets a nice lead of 13 nominations- including for Best Picture.  Poor Things comes in second with 11.  Barbie gets 8.

2022 Oscar Nominations announced

                 The 94th Oscars  nominations were announced Tuesday. The best picture category has been expanded  to allow for 10 movies to vy for the top spot.  Netflix gets a 2 out of 10 chance of winning with Don't Look Up and Power of the Dog  ,  Dune from Warner Brothers did get a nod, and showing how the awards had to be flexible towards movies that didn't either have a theater launch or a hybrid model, especially in the animated category.    The Award show is set to air on March 27 at 8pet/5pt on ABC.
