Now on to season 12 of Arthur and to episode 6b, which is a b-side to the episode we did in 2016 called "The Cherry Tree"
The Cold Open: Arthur has a diary (oooh) and Francine wants to see what he's writing but you know privacy and Francine gets annoyed by this. Muffy shows up and does the same thing, but Arthur climbs and tree and they walk away. Arthur tells us somethings are just private.
The Episode: Muffy's brother , Chip, shows up home from college. Muffy is very excited and throws him a welcome home dinner. Francine's family is also there , because of course, but it seems that Chip and Catherine (Francine's sister) seem to be getting along. Fun fact: this is the first episode Chip actually shows up in the series, he's been mentioned before.
This gives Francine and Muffy the idea that their siblings should get married so, they can become sisters. (What?) The show even gives us Laverne and Shirley parody. Anyway, they decide the logical thing to do is to get these two to be in love with each other. (This is too much work) They convince their siblings to go to a movie and they nitpick stuff the two siblings do, but they notice that they are seemingly doing well.
Later they find out that their siblings are going out to lunch. While they stalk them , Francine and Muffy start to get into tension with each other and the Laverne and Shirley Parody seems to have gotten angrier too. They decide to help end the relationship between their siblings. This is not a good plan. Especially since what they do can be easily traced back to them, which is for the best. Catherine sees Chip and they talk and figure out that their siblings were doing stuff. They admit what happened and realize that maybe they shouldn't be sisters anyway.

The Laverne and Shirley parody was funny, the episode was alright. There was some fun charm to this episode and Francine and Muffy wanting to be sisters was sweet. The episode goes as expected the moral of not meddling in others affairs.
More after the jump
Funny enough I did season13, episode 3b already been covered here, then came back and did the 3a episode a couple years later, meaning my Arthur posts are kind of a mess. On the other hand I can do season 14 now, yay! Here's Arthur Season 14, episode 8b we already covered 8a.
Will this episode be all the rage or cause the rage? (yes, the great Arthur riots that happened)
The Cold Opening : It starts with Muffy's house of fashion horrors (coming this fall to NBC) where she takes Buster, Arthur, and Francine into the place to show them horrible fashions. The first is Arthur in a cell somehow while, Arthur is able to see them. Apparently. Arthur's clothes are not very good to her, up next it's Francine wearing a dress then finally, it's a funny outfit that Muffy is wearing.
The Episode: Muffy is watching TV and a fashion star named, Capri di Vapida, is being interviewed. Capri wears a miss mash of extravagant clothing. Muffy decides that she needs to update her clothing because of the woman's words. (logical answer) Muffy does donate her older clothes , so that's good. Some how Muffy doesn't know what the word fad means, what? Anyway she day dreams about starting a new fad.
Sue Ellen likes one of Muffy's old hats, keep that in mind for later, while Muffy wants to start a new fashion trend. (They also make a Croc's reference) The next day, Muffy thinks up pouches for your ankles where you can store your money inside. This was/is a bad idea. The next idea was a scarf made of fruit rolls which is also bad idea. (Buster likes it, because it's food)
Sue Ellen shows up with the hat thing and then flies show up for the scarf because flies. Next, it's armings (which aren't guns) leggings but for arms. These also don't work. Muffy goes old school and wears a monocle. (Fancy) Arthur dismisses this, plus she ends up walking into a locker.
Later on the hat that Sue Ellen was wearing ends up being a fad with the other kids wearing it. Sue Ellen ends up in Muffy's daydream being the world's trend setter in fashion. Muffy has lost it and goes to Sue Ellen's house and the girl helps her out. Apparently, Muffy inspired Sue Ellen in her fashion sense so, that was kind of sweet.
Meanwhile, Capri is eating dog biscuits in this really long interview. The true moral is don't listen to weird people on TV. Or really, just be yourself and don't try to chase trends to become a trend. Something like that.

Anyway, that's it for now , we are going to go match up two people together and find out they are related , so tune in next time for that, we are wearing monocles.
