CNN
Written by Alice F.writing for Joshuaonline

Remember This ?

James Earl Jones' booming voice  telling you that you are watching CNN.  Just in case you thought you were some where else. According to the NewYork Times CNN has brought this back.  The same time a new man in town Jeff Zucker has now become the  president of CNN Worldwide. It would seem that maybe  CNN is going back to it's hey day?  And Mr.Zucker also has sent a memo to his new staff  , Fishbowl DC has it here.

Well see what happens.

The FlashBack : 10 years ago January 17th

The FlashBack : Taking you back in sometime in Television

Here is something to make you feel old (sorry)  On January 17th 2013 , a TV show that was a hit for Disney Channel first appeared 10 years ago. "That's So Raven" premiered on Disney Channel on Jaunary 17th 2003.  It was when Disney Channel was testing the waters of original programs  , Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens were doing well , why not add a 3rd show when the other two were close to ending.
The program incase , you forgot, stars Raven-Symone` of Cosby show fame , she plays Raven a girl with physic powers  but just in case you think that would be a cool power until you see her get in trouble or things going wrong since she can only see a small part the future in a vision.
It ran on Disney Channel from 2003-2007, was rebroadcast on ABC Saturday Mornings from 2003 until ABC gave up on Children's shows in 2011. It also was the first Disney Channel made show to get a spinoff and go over 65 episodes.

After the Jump : there's a video of the theme song. that will make you feel a bit happy or old or both.

Current post-mortem

Current
The New York Post's Linda Stasi writes about how Current TV staffers are feeling a week after the announcement Al Jazeera  and a staff that happened..

Ominously missing was the creator of Current, the self proclaimed inventor of the Internet and savior of clean energy, Al Gore, although his partner, Joel Hyatt, stood proudly with the Al Jazeera honchos.
“Of course Al didn’t show up,” said one high placed Current staffer. “He has no credibility.
“He’s supposed to be the face of clean energy and just sold [the channel] to very big oil, the emir of Qatar! Current never even took big oil advertising—and Al Gore, that bulls***ter sells to the emir?”
But you won’t be getting that Middle East merriment until April, which is when the network says it will be ready to take over.
“Sometime within three months—no more, no less—we were told,” said the Current staffer.
One person at the meeting, who has already announced that she’s leaving, former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, tried to ask about severance packages for those who wouldn’t be staying.
“This isn’t the place to discuss this!” Hyatt barked at her.
