THE FLASHBACK
Welcome to something new here on Joshuaonline , we talk alot about TV in the current and the future but not much into the past  so that's something we will be doing here in something generically named "The FlashBack".
Ah yes  welcome to Television, many times when a  New Year is starting why not launch a new channel at the same time , gives you an easy to remember birthday. January 1st.
On January 1st 1982 , a new news channel was launched by Ted Turner, called CNN2.  It was CNN's sister channel  that was focused on getting you headlines in 30 minutes for those who didn't want a full hour on CNN. It's Name was changed to CNN Headline News  (sometimes refereed as Headline News). The Format lasted until 2005 when primetime was modified and daytime later on by 2008 it was renamed HLN.
But here on  "THE FLASH BACK" just take a look  at the first few minutes.

3 TV Hotlist stories you may want to know for 1/22/2012

CNN

Remember This ?

James Earl Jones' booming voice  telling you that you are watching CNN.  Just in case you thought you were some where else. According to the NewYork Times CNN has brought this back.  The same time a new man in town Jeff Zucker has now become the  president of CNN Worldwide. It would seem that maybe  CNN is going back to it's hey day?  And Mr.Zucker also has sent a memo to his new staff  , Fishbowl DC has it here.

Well see what happens.

The FlashBack : 10 years ago January 17th

The FlashBack : Taking you back in sometime in Television

Here is something to make you feel old (sorry)  On January 17th 2013 , a TV show that was a hit for Disney Channel first appeared 10 years ago. "That's So Raven" premiered on Disney Channel on Jaunary 17th 2003.  It was when Disney Channel was testing the waters of original programs  , Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens were doing well , why not add a 3rd show when the other two were close to ending.
The program incase , you forgot, stars Raven-Symone` of Cosby show fame , she plays Raven a girl with physic powers  but just in case you think that would be a cool power until you see her get in trouble or things going wrong since she can only see a small part the future in a vision.
It ran on Disney Channel from 2003-2007, was rebroadcast on ABC Saturday Mornings from 2003 until ABC gave up on Children's shows in 2011. It also was the first Disney Channel made show to get a spinoff and go over 65 episodes.

After the Jump : there's a video of the theme song. that will make you feel a bit happy or old or both.
